STEVE VOLL

BAD PLAID

October 23rd - November 14

2021

“Bad Plaid” is our second solo exhibition with the artist.

Steve Voll is the epitome of an artist who cherished the solitude and deeply immersed himself into his artistic pursuit during the Pandemic. Like a long distance runner with an industrious focus , Voll created an impressive body of works between 2020 - present.

Words become too vague to explain Voll’s intensity and visions expressed in each piece. Voll’s paintings are not merely a visual display. Instead, a piercing sensory experience seemingly electrifying each neuron and provoking every synapses of the viewer’s cerebrum to fire rapidly.

Voll’s paintings are evidence of the artist’s keenly honed craft. Appearing as random and haphazard at first glance , each piece reveals the intentional and calculated placement of visual traps . A sensory rabbit hole of interminable depths dispersed latently across his canvases.

Voll’s work is addicting. It evokes confusion and uncertainty first but through experience , viewers will attain clarity and are greeted with explicit blasts of color . Furthermore, as you learn how to travel through the labyrinth built in each piece, the craving will remain and intensify.

Please join us for the opening reception - October 23rd 6-9 pm to celebrate his achievement attained during a surreal moment of Human history.
