SUMMER SESSION #1 - GROUP SHOW

SERPENTINE

Curated by : MOR

Opening Reception : Friday , June 13th 6-9pm

Closing Reception : Friday , June 27th 6-9pm

A celebration of the serpentine nature of time, art, and life; of the shedding  of skins, of death and renewal, in honor of the present year of the wood snake in the Chinese zodiac.

Serpentine explores the potent symbolism of the snake, which ecompasses both good and evil, and the duality of life itself. Serpents have long been a representation of temptation and wisdom, and are often demonized in Western culture.

Harbingers of chaos, who move in a mysterious and unsettling way, perhaps the year of the snake is here to remind us that possibility is present in chaos, and that disruption and destruction and necessary parts of transformation.

Curated by Mor, a self-taught Brooklyn native rooted in street art large-scale and intricate paper-cuts;

Serpentine is a group showing of a diverse roster of artists working in a wide spectrum of materials from ink, to wood assemblage and tinfoil.
